According to the latest statistics, in August 2024, my country imported 695.75 tons of carbon fiber, 58.95 tons of carbon fiber fabric, 154.19 tons of carbon fiber prepreg, 430.43 tons of other carbon fiber products, and a total of 1,339.32 tons of carbon fiber products. From January to August 2024, a total of 4,669 tons of carbon fiber was imported, and a total of 10,890 tons of various carbon fiber products were imported. 

In August 2024, the domestic market price of carbon fiber fell from a low level, the market price of raw material acrylonitrile continued to fall, and the production cost of carbon fiber enterprises decreased, but the market price of carbon fiber fell again, and the profitability of enterprises was still poor; on the supply side, a carbon fiber plant in Shandong officially went into production in August, and domestic carbon fiber production capacity increased further, but due to poor demand and corporate profit and loss, the start-up of domestic enterprises' plants remained low, and most of them maintained production according to orders; on the demand side, the downstream market demand atmosphere was stable, and the enthusiasm for purchasing was not high, pursuing low prices. In terms of imports and exports, in August, my country's imports of carbon fiber, carbon fiber fabrics, and other carbon fiber products increased month-on-month, while the imports of carbon fiber prepregs decreased month-on-month.
